Katie did an amazing job. When our dog Biggie passed unexpectedly, my wife wanted something so that she could still feel his presence. Katie told us that a taxidermy of a pet never truly resembles them, so she gave us the option to do a pillow with his fur and a paw. Her prices were beyond reasonable and the turnaround time was faster than any other company we talked to. She was easy to communicate with for details such as updates, and options for Biggie’s urn. When we dropped off Biggie’s remains, she was kind, caring and compassionate as we were still very much in shock of his sudden passing.

Our only regret is not letting her do the full taxidermy. The pillow is so meticulously made that from a short distance away, you can tell it mimics Biggie’s hair pattern. The attention to detail to add his hair from behind his ears to one end of the pillow and then follow his hair pattern is so well done that my other dogs recognize it is Biggie and lay with it. His paws are so well recreated that our dog Bodie, who was closest to Biggie, will carefully bury them in his blanket and lay with them. Mind you, he’s never buried anything else. Our vet said this is behavior dogs show towards their most prized possessions. Consider this…Biggie’s scent is completely washed from the fur, yet Bodie knows exactly whose paws they are. That’s how good her work is.

We couldn’t be happier with the result. We originally did it so my wife and I could have a constant reminder of Biggie, who was always by our side. What we didn’t expect was that his taxidermy pillow and paws would bring a sense of closure and solace to our other dogs. Again, thank you so much Katie!
