Receiving & Inspection

Upon receiving your trophies, we conduct a thorough inventory and inspection of each item, checking for any signs of bug damage, hair slippage, and other potential issues. We’ll keep you informed about the condition of each trophy, as this knowledge is crucial for the tanning and skinning processes. Understanding your trophy’s condition also allows us to emphasize specific features of the animal that you may want to highlight in the final mount.

Pose Instructions

In the consulting phase, we work closely with you to bring your vision to life. This step involves an in-depth discussion to understand your expectations and preferences for your trophy. We’ll explore various pose options, habitat elements, and pedestal styles, tailoring each detail to make your piece truly unique. Our goal is to combine your ideas with our expertise, ensuring that every aspect of the design reflects your personality and taste. This collaborative stage lays the foundation for a finished piece that not only meets but exceeds your expectations.

Preparation & Tanning

Before the tanning process begins, several important steps are taken to prepare your trophy. These include skinning, fleshing, salting, and carefully preparing the capes for tanning. Once the capes are ready, we proceed with tanning, a critical phase in preserving the quality of your trophy. We partner with top-tier tanning services to ensure your trophy is expertly handled and preserved, maintaining its beauty and durability for years to come.

Sculpting & Design

Our sculpting process involves creating a customized form that mirrors the natural anatomy and distinctive characteristics of the animal. Whether it’s positioning a shoulder mount in an alert stance or crafting a life-size display that captures a moment in motion, our goal is to ensure the final mount is both dynamic and true to life. With expert attention to detail, from facial expressions to muscle definition, we bring a level of artistry to every mount that transforms it into a one-of-a-kind work.
Sculpting and design allow us to go beyond preservation, creating a piece that resonates with personality and presence—an artful tribute to nature and the beauty of wildlife.

Habitat Design & Base Development

Habitat design and base development are integral parts of creating a truly captivating and lifelike trophy display. During this phase, we collaborate with you to craft a setting that reflects the natural environment of your trophy. From selecting rocks, grasses, and plants to choosing textures and colors that complement the animal, every detail is thoughtfully considered.
The base, whether a simple stand or a custom pedestal, is tailored to support and enhance the overall presentation. We offer a range of materials, finishes, and design options, from rustic to refined, ensuring your trophy has a unique and harmonious setting. This careful attention to habitat and base design transforms your piece into more than just a trophy; it becomes a work of art that tells a story.

Finishing & Retouching

The final stage of the design process involves detailed finishing and retouching. We apply putty around the horns, eyes, and nose to achieve a smooth, seamless look. Our team carefully touches up colors, adds a realistic wetness to the nose and eyes, and thoroughly cleans and grooms the piece. Each trophy undergoes a meticulous inspection to ensure every detail meets the highest standards before it’s ready for display.
